Dr. Talal Nsouli

Medical Director

Dr. Talal M. Nsouli is the Director of the Watergate and McLean Allergy and Asthma Centers - with clinics located in the greater Washington D.C. area. As an allergy and asthma immunologist, he is affiliated with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.

In that capacity, Dr. Nsouli was President Bill Clinton’s personal allergist for the full eight years of his presidency. He continued to serve the White House Medical Unit as an allergy consultant to Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. 

Dr. Nsouli is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology at the MedStar Georgetown University School of Medicine. He is an Honorary Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and he is a Distinguished Research Scientist at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Immunology in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Nsouli has been recognized by the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the top doctors in allergy/immunology in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and he has been recognized by the Consumers' Research Council of America in America's Top Physicians, by Best Doctors in America and by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top doctors in allergy/immunology in the country.

Dr. Nsouli is the former president of the Greater Washington Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Society, and he is on the Editorial Board of the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Dr. Nsouli is a consultant to the Indoor Environments Division of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and he is a senior consultant to the American Running Association with regard to exercise-induced asthma.

Dr. Nsouli has successfully treated Olympic medal-winning athletes, including athletes who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. Dr. Nsouli is also the chairman of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology's annual Nationwide Asthma Screening Program.

Dr. Nsouli has published more than 100 research studies in the fields of allergy, asthma and immunology.

In 2002, in recognition of his substantial contributions to medical research, the Georgetown University Medical Center and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology conferred on Dr. Nsouli the prestigious 8th Annual Robert T. Scanlon Memorial Lecture Award.

And, in recognition of his tireless efforts on behalf of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, he was selected to receive the ACAAI Distinguished Service Award for 2009.

Dr. Eliane Abou-Jaoude

Allergy and Immunology Physician

Eliane Abou-Jaoude, MD is Board-Certified in Allergy/Immunology and Internal Medicine. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.


Dr. Abou-Jaoude received her M.D. degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she also completed her Residency training in Internal Medicine. She served as the Chief Resident in her third year.


Dr. Abou-Jaoude continued her training with a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During her Fellowship, Dr. Abou-Jaoude conducted research studies which were published in peer-reviewed publications and gave oral presentations in the specialty of Allergy/Immunology.


One of Dr. Abou-Jaoude's research studies titled, "Association Between Pacifier Cleaning Methods and Child Total IgE," dealt with one likely cause of allergic diseases in children. This study was very well received among specialists in Allergy/Immunology, and it received considerable media attention.


Dr. Abou-Jaoude is actively involved in research with the World Allergy Organization. Her other research includes Digital Tools in Allergy and Respiratory Care, World Allergy Organization-ARIA Chronic Cough, Role of Galectin-3 in Allergic Lung inflammation and neuroinflammation, Anaphylaxis and Carcinoid Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation in MCAS, Influenza vaccination education.  


Dr. Abou-Jaoude is fluent in Arabic.


Dr. Abou-Jaoude is exceptionally well qualified to provide excellent care to all of our adult and pediatric patients who seek accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of their allergy, asthma, and immunological diseases.

Suad Nsouli, FNP

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Suad Nsouli is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is licensed to practice in Washington D.C. and Virginia.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Nsouli is a Registered Nurse with advanced skills, education and training in allergy, asthma and immunology. As a health care provider, she performs complete physical examinations, provides appropriate diagnoses, prescribes medications, and delivers quality medical care for her patients.

Ms. Nsouli provides these medical services under Dr. Nsouli’s active supervision, and he is always available for real-time consultation for all our patients. In addition, Dr. Nsouli carefully reviews all medical services provided. With her invaluable assistance, Dr. Nsouli is able to extend office hours in the Burke and D.C. offices in order to more fully meet your health care needs, while maintaining the high level of quality treatment and services that you desire.

Ms. Nsouli received her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated cum laude from the Malek School of Health Professions at Marymount University where she also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She was awarded a graduate grant for her Masters degree in recognition of her significant achievements as a Registered Nurse.

Prior to entering the Masters degree program, Ms. Nsouli worked as a Registered Nurse at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in the Department of Pediatrics in Washington, D.C. Soon after she started working at Georgetown Pediatrics, she was appointed as Charge Nurse for the unit and was responsible for numerous clinical tasks. In recognition of Ms. Nsouli’s outstanding clinical nursing skills at Georgetown Pediatrics, she was awarded Nurse of the Year for Outpatient Pediatrics in 2015.

In collaboration with Dr. Nsouli, Ms. Nsouli also assisted with and co-authored more than 12 clinical research studies in the field of allergy, asthma and clinical immunology that were published in key journals. She also co-presented several of these studies at the Annual Congress of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) meetings held in Miami, Los Angeles, and other locations.

Nadine Diliberto, FNP

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner Nadine Diliberto is highly trained and experienced. She is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her Family Nurse Practitioner and Master of Science in Nursing degree summa cum laude from Georgetown University. She was inducted into the National Nursing Honor Society. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the Virginia and Washington, D.C. Boards of Nursing. Mrs. Diliberto also earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree summa cum laude from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University. In addition, she is a member of the Virginia Counsel of Nurse Practitioners.


As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Diliberto is a Registered Nurse with advanced skills, education and training in a health care specialty. Her health care specialty is the treatment of allergy and asthma. She provides health care services similar to those provided by physicians, including the administration of physical examinations, the treatment of illnesses, and the prescribing of medications.
